Pet Boarding
Taking the stress out of planning your holiday
As an alternative to boarding kennels, Fuzzy Friends offer home boarding. With an optional pre-meeting for your peace of mind you will be able to enjoy your own holiday, knowing your dog or cat is being cared for in a loving household with all the creature comforts and routines they are used to?
All we ask is that you bring all of your dogs belongings including food, toys, bedding, medication etc.
Fuzzy Friends Pet Training is fully insured and a member of the National Associates of Registered Dog Sitters.
Behaviour Consultations and Assessments
Owning a pet should be an enjoyable experience, but as some of us often realise, our pets can have other ideas.
Does your pet....:
- ...bark at strangers?
- ...suffer from Nervousness or Aggression?
- ...need to be more controlled when out for walks?
- ...not come back when called?
- ...jump up at visitors?
- ...Steal objects/food?
- ...chew?
- ... seek attention by barking or biting?
- ... suffer from separation anxiety?
- ...toilet in inappropriate places?
We can also help with over excitability, and commands such as:
Basic commands: sit, lie down, stay, leave, drop etc.
Advanced commands: distance control, emergency stop, send to bed etc.
If you have answered yes to any of the above, Fuzzy Friends can help.
After contacting Fuzzy Friends, an initial consultation will take place. This will help to ensure that you are happy with us, and help us understand your needs and expectations. During this session, we will discuss training techniques and aids.
Following the consultation, further training sessions are arranged where nessesary, in which you can work with Fuzzy Friends to increase your confidence and understanding of your pet.
Puppy Consultations
A Puppy Consultation is an educational session where you can learn how to shape your new puppy's behaviour. Included in this 2 hour session are topics such as:
- Housetraining
- Introducing the lead
- Teething
- How to play with your puppy
- Health
- Breed Advise
- The importance of training
- Motivation as a training tool
In addition, there will be an assessment of your puppies behaviour, and recommendations on training going forward
Puppy Classes
Puppy Training classes can be booked per session or as a course. These are designed to assist the owner in becoming more confident is raising their puppy and the techniques required to ensure a happy, well balanced puppy.
A 6 session beginners class covers:
- Recall
- Walking on a loose leas
- Teaching your dog to share / drop objects
- Teach your dog not to steal
- Sit, first time
- Lie down
- Wait patiently at doorways/getting out of car
- Stay relaxed when being groomed / handeled
- Pay attention to you, even with other dogs close by
- Preventing jumping up at visitors
- Setting house rules and boundaries
- Toilet training
- Play biting
- Over excitability
As well as covering topics such as
- Dog law
- Dogs with children
- The effect of diet on behaviour
Dog Walking
We are able to take your dog out for 1 or 2 hours as required.
Cat Feeding
As an alternative to catteries, Fuzzy Friends offer cat feeding visits.
Following confirmation of your booking, a pre-meeting will take place for your peace of mind. During this meeting, we will discuss your cats requirements, and any additional services you may like, including watering of plants, switching on lights etc.
Pet Taxi
Fuzzy Friends can help you transport your dog or cat for you. Whether it be from airport, or to the vets, Fuzzy Friends have fully insured vehicles.
